- eBay is great: go to the main page, click "Advanced" by the search bar, type in what you have, and click the button that says "Sold," then "Search." It will show all the same items that have sold in the last few weeks.
- Pay for Worthpoint.com: you can pay for a month and get a lot of info if you're working on an estate.
- Books: AbeBooks.com or Alibris.com.
- Art: MutualArt.com (a pay site).
- Google Search, including Google Search by photo.
- Also, buy a loupe and a strong magnet to help sort out silver and jewelry.
