Information you give us. When you submit a consultation request, mailing-list signup, or contact form on the Site, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, and any details you share about an appraisal, estate, or consignment need.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and form providers may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and operational purposes. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, via Google Tag Manager. Google may set cookies as part of this and may use the data collected consistent with its own privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to consultation requests and answer questions about appraisals, estate sales, and consignment
- Send estate sale alerts and updates to subscribers who opt in
- Maintain records of our client relationships
- Improve and secure the Site
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Our contact, consultation, and estate sale alert forms are processed by our website's own server-side function and stored in Airtable, the customer relationship database we use to manage inquiries. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand Site traffic and usage. Video content is embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, which limits cookie use unless you press play. Our online shop is hosted separately on Shopify at shop.garygermer.com and is governed by Shopify's own privacy practices. Please review those providers' own privacy policies for details on how they handle data.
Data Retention
We retain the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain reasonable business records, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your Choices
You may unsubscribe from estate sale alert emails at any time using the link in those emails, or by contacting us directly. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us at info@garygermer.com.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
